Hope Grows Here is a therapeutic gardening program conducted at 3 outdoor classrooms in Cuyahoga County. We are currently searching for an individual, experienced working with children, who can run the program this Spring and Summer.
Hours: 25-30 hours a week for 14 weeks; May - August
Location: Cleveland
Salary: Hourly
Supervisor: Health and Wellness Director
Job Responsibilities:
§ Lead weekly garden programs for youth ages 6-21 and execute garden curriculum in residential treatment facilities
§ Maintain 3 therapeutic gardens and outdoor classrooms across Cuyahoga County
§ Execute evaluations of program
§ Manage scheduling of program
§ Work closely with staff of supporting agencies
§ Purchase and manage curriculum supplies
Qualifications & Skills Needed:
§ Bachelor’s Degree in social work, education or horticulture
§ Experience working with children
§ Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
§ Extensive background check conducted
