Hours:          4-8 hours a week

Location:    Pepper Pike

Salary:         Unpaid

Supervisor:  Development Director

Job Responsibilities

§  Assist Development Director in fundraising efforts and planning

§  Assist Executive Director in planning for upcoming holiday party for children in foster care

§  Conduct research on potential donors, strategic partners and sponsors

§  Draft correspondence, reports, proposals and donor appeals

§  Maintain donor files and other development materials

§  Event planning for upcoming fundraiser

§  Data Entry and Management

§ Assist with mailings, filing, and special projects as needed

Qualifications& Skills Needed:

§  Current college student or recent college graduate

§  Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills

§  Desire to learn more about fundraising, philanthropy and gain experience working at anon-profit

§  Background check conducted

Hope in Balance Art Therapist

Fostering Hope is a local non-profit that enriches the lives of children living in residential treatment and foster care. Founded in 2013, Fostering Hope provides services to OhioGuidestone, Beech Brook, Bellefaire, Applewood and Cuyahoga County Children and Family Services. Fostering Hope is looking for a qualified Art Therapist, with a heart for kids in residential treatment, to grow it's Hope in Balance trauma informed yoga program.

Hours:​ Part-time (1-2 classes a week) for a 6-8 week pilot program. Classes are held on weekdays sometime during the hours of 3:00-5:30 pm

Location:​ Greater Cleveland, west side

Salary:​ per class

Supervisor:​ Hope in Balance Coordinator

Job Responsibilities:

● Teach weekly trauma informed art therapy classes to clients in residential treatment facilities

● Provide occasional summaries of classes to Hope in Balance Coordinator

● Participate in occasional continuing education classes and meetings

Qualifications & Skills Needed:

● Must be a Registered Art Therapist

● Trauma informed training or familiarity with residential treatment population required

● Able to think on feet and adjust to client needs

Hope Grows Here Coordinator

Hope Grows Here is a therapeutic gardening program conducted at 2 outdoor classrooms in Cuyahoga County. We are currently searching for an individual, experienced working with children, who can run the program this Spring and Summer.

Hours:  15-20 hours a week for 14 weeks; May - August

Location:  Cleveland

Salary:   Hourly

Supervisor:  Executive Director


Job Responsibilities:

§  Lead weekly garden programs for youth ages 6-21 and execute garden curriculum in residential treatment facilities

§  Maintain 2 therapeutic gardens and outdoor classrooms across Cuyahoga County

§  Execute evaluations of program

§  Manage scheduling of program

§  Work closely with staff of supporting agencies

§  Purchase and manage curriculum supplies


Qualifications & Skills Needed:

§  Bachelor’s Degree in social work, education or horticulture

§  Experience working with children

§  Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills

§  Extensive background check conducted
